KATHMANDU, Dec 1: Major political parties are busy in informal meetings as homework for talks slated between ruling parties, main opposition and agitating parties for Wednesday. During yesterday’s meet, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) had demanded a common proposal on the 11-point demands forwarded by the front to the government talks team.
The NC has summoned meeting of office-bearers of the party for 3 pm today to discuss the same. “The meet will forge the party’s opinion,” NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel said. The ruling UML will also be holding meeting of top leaders of the party on demands of the front, according to Press Advisor to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli Pramod Dahal. The UCPN (Maoist) will however be focused on Central Committee meeting of the party and will hold discussion after conclusion of the meeting.
